Both following the Clone Wars and during it, Ahsoka Tano was among the most crucial figures. She was a Togruta from the planet Shili and was discovered early on by Jedi Master Plo Koon. Her innate understanding of the Force was apparent almost immediately, which played a crucial role in her getting accepted into the Jedi Order. When the Clone Wars first began, she was taken in as a Padawan by Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker. Ahsoka was very quick to make a mark, which was attributed to her unique abilities with lightsabers and her general nature.
The bond between Ahsoka and Anakin became stronger with time, and they confronted various challenges head-on, including tackling war-based politics as well as members from the dark side. When Ahsoka was accused unfairly of bombing the Jedi Temple, her life changed substantially. Despite her eventual exoneration, her relationship with the Jedi Order took a bad turn. As such, she decided to walk away.
Ahsoka then encountered a host of other adventures. For example, when hiding on a remote moon, she was put in a position to battle an Inquisitor. Similarly, during the Siege of Mandalore, she found herself against the former Sith Lord Darth Maul. Senator Bail Organa recruited her to become a part of the rising movement of the rebels against the Galactic Empire. Ahsoka took up the codename Fulcrum, and under this name, she was an active member of the Rebel Alliance, entrusted with the responsibility of managing the intelligence network of Senator Organa. Many rebel factions benefitted from her intelligence work, such as the Spectre cell led by Hera Syndulla and Kanan Jarrus, who was a fugitive Jedi who managed to survive Order 66.
Across an array of the Spectres’ missions, Ahsoka worked as an advisor and a mentor for many people, such as Mandalorian warrior Sabine Wren and Ezra Bridger – Kanan’s young Padawan. During this time, Ahsoka learned the actual identity of the evil Darth Vader, leading her to visit planet Malachor’s ancient Sith temple with Jarrus and Bridger. Here, her former mentor confronted her for the first time since the Clone Wars ended, and the intense encounter began to crumble the temple. Jarrus and Bridger escaped as Ahsoka dueled with Darth Vader despite the collapsing temple. She is assumed to have died during this conflict.
Before Vader attempted to land the last blow and put an end to his former mentee, a portal appeared, pulling her into a strange dimension. It was later revealed that Ezra Bridger was responsible for the miracle. In the World Between Worlds – a plane that seems to connect space and time across the Force – she found Ezra. Both of them exited the portal to their positions in time and promised to meet each other again.
Following this point, Bridger continued to put up a strong fight to defend the galaxy from the Empire, including dueling with Grand Admiral Thrawn and his team to protect his homeland – Lothal. A flock of purrgil was invited by Bridger when liberating Lothal with the help of the Force. Purrgil were semi-sentient space whales capable of gliding through hyperspace. Thrawn’s team suffered significantly at the hands of this flock. While Bridger and Thrawn were fighting, the purrgil encompassed the starship and pulled them into hyperspace and then a different galaxy. Here, they remained in exile. This was considered a differentiating moment in the war since Thrawn was crucial to the Empire.
A few years after this event, the Rebel Alliance defeated the Empire, putting an end to the Galactic Civil War. Ahsoka and Sabine then began to look for Ezra, although many believed he was dead. Wren was undergoing training under Ahsoka as her Padawan during this point, but their association would become strained gradually. Eventually, they decided to go their own way, with a lot of bad blood. When news started emerging years later about the return of Thrawn, the mentor and mentee would reunite. Finally, they would find Bridger ten whole years later on planet Peridea. While they couldn’t ensure that Thrawn remained in exile, Ahsoka and Sabine’s relationship would strengthen, and they would go back to their previous roles as mentor and apprentice.
